Information

Announced on November 19th, 2024, Muse headlined the 2025 Pinkpop Festival in the Netherlands. This came in after the band cancelled their 2024 Pinkpop show before any official announcements. The gig also marked 10 years since the band's last appearance at the festival.

The Show

The gig saw the tour debuts of Unintended, Madness, and Undisclosed Desires. This marked the first live performance of Unintended since 2013, and the first ever performance of the Acoustic version of the song from Matt's solo album Cryosleep, with Dan on piano and Matt on guitar. Matt tried to introduce the song but his microphone cut out, meaning all that was audible was "we're gonna play a song from our first album".

The setlist echoed the one from Abu Dhabi in 2024, with the encore consisting of Isolated System, Undisclosed Desires, and Starlight. Matt proceeded to introduce the band during the end of Undisclosed Desires, including Dan. He also humorously replaced the lyric "I want to exorcise the demons from your past" with "I want to exorcise the demons from Dom's arse".

Flamethrowers were used during United States of Eurasia for the first time and fireworks were set off during the end of Starlight.

Trivia

With Unintended's unexpected appearance, this marks the second time in a Muse set that all 9 albums were represented after Werchter 2023; with Unravelling being played, it's possibly the first time all 10 albums were represented, if the song ends up being on LP 10.
