Description
Released in March of 2026 as the second single off of the The Wow! Signal, the pop rock-oriented song is divided in three sections: It starts out with a powerful organ accompaniment to Matt's voice, then segues as an electronic piece in the second third, before growing into a stadium/space rock song.
The first third is vaguely reminiscent in instrumentation to songs like Follow Me and parts of Take a Bow and Isolated System, with the pulsing kick drum and the arppeggiating synth, while the last part draws comparison to songs like Mercy. The guitar solo is similar to Dig Down and The Dark Side.
Recording
The song has mostly been recorded in Matt's L.A. studio, while the church organ was recorded at the First Congregational Church of Los Angeles. The church boasts with one of the second largest church organ in the world.[1]
Live
The song got its live debut at The Wow! Signal's promo show in London's Brixton Academy on April 3rd, 2026 and is likely to remain a tour staple, replacing Compliance as the "confetti" song.
