Analysis and Explanation
Kill or Be Killed was given it's live debut at the Rock am Ring 2022 alongside Will of the People, and went on to be played as the first song of the encore at every concert on the Will of the People Summer Festivals Tour. It marks the first time in a while that Muse debuted a song live before the release of its studio version - though it's quick rise to being a fan favourite likely influenced the band's decision to release the song as a single in late-July.
The song went onto be played a virtually every gig since it's debut, with the JFK/Simulation Theory Theme being played as an intro from February 2023 onwards. Additionally from February 2023 onwards, the Felsmann + Tiley Reinterpretation remix was given it's live debut (played from tape as an intro to Compliance earlier in the set) and was played at every gig that year, alongside the usual version during the encore.
