Charlotte Truliant Amphitheater
Truliant Amphitheater is an outdoor venue in Charlotte, North Carolina. Located on Pavilion Boulevard in the University City neighborhood, the 19,500-capacity amphitheater was opened in 1991, and is owned and operated by Live Nation. The venue replaced the Paladium at Charlotte's Six Flags Carowinds amusement park as the premier outdoor venue in the cities metropolitan area. The seating is split between 7,232 seats under pavilion, 2,221 reserved seats on lawn, and 10,000 general admission spaces. The ampthitheater's previous names include the original Blockbuster Pavilio, Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre and PNC Music Pavilion.
In the past, the amphitheater paid host to artists such as Paul McCartney, who performed at the venue in 1993 as part of The New World Tour, with his show being broadcast live on Fox. In 2005, during Duran Duran's performance, singer Simon Le Bon accidentally referred to the city as "Charlotte, Virginia". The venue also hosted touring festivals such as Vans Warped Tour and Ozzfest. Other artists who have performed at the venue include Kansas, Limp Bizkit, Ozzy Osbourne, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Hozier, Destiny's Child, Weezer, Tina Turner, The Black Keys, Green Day and more.
Muse have performed at the amphiteater in 2017, during their co-headlining tour with 30 Seconds to Mars, and are in for a return to the venue on August 10th, 2026, as part of their The Wow! Signal North American Tour, supported by Portugal. The Man and The Temper Trap.
