Announced on the 30th of October, 2018, the band headlined the last night of Rock In Rio 2019 with Imagine Dragons and Nickelback. It was the second day of the festival to completely sell out. The gig was streamed live on multiple services, including Brazilian website G1 and LiveXLive.

It was the largest capacity single-night gig of the Simulation Theory World Tour, with 100,000 tickets sold out in a single day.

The setlist was shortened in comparison to previous gigs of the same tour due to time constraints, lacking Break It To Me, Houston Jam and Take a Bow.
