The Globalist was played at a festival for the first time, and was also televised for the first time. [[Back In Black (song)|Back In Black]] was supposed to be performed at this gig, but it wasn't played and was scratched off of the setlist. If performed, it would have been the first time since June 2010. The set also contained the last performance of [[Reapers (song)| Reapers]] and JFK to date.

After another 6 years, Muse were headlining the Glastonbury Festival once again. The gig has been hinted by the band on their Facebook profile when they released this video. It was finally confirmed in March of 2016 that Muse will be headlining Glastonbury 2016, together with Coldplay and Adele.

Back In Black was supposed to be performed at this gig, and the band had previously hinted at a special guest joining them at some point during the gig in an interview shown before it was televised (presumably to sing the song) - but for unknown reasons, it was not played, and was scribbled off of the setlist.

The set contained the last performance of the full version of Reapers to date, as well as the last performance of JFK until 2023.
