First show of The Resistance Arena Tour

Information

This sold out concert was announced on the 1st of June, 2009.[1] Fan pre-sale information and links were announced on the 3rd of June.[5] Pre-sale took place on the 4th–5th[5] and general sale started on the 8th.[1] The concert was promoted by Livenation.[6]

On playing songs from The Resistance live, Dominic Howard stated that learning to do so "should take a while!"[7] and Rehearsals started on the 19th of July.[8] On the 22nd, musewire readers were told to "expect an 8-foot stone 'enge" for The Resistance tour's stage design.[9]

Guiding Light, Exogenesis: Symphony Part 1 (Overture) and Helsinki Jam were played live for the first time, while Unintended was played for the first time in two years. We Are The Universe made its debut also.

Balloons were released during Plug In Baby.

Upon the canopies falling down the three towers, Matt's one got stuck on the tower itself.
