The gig was announced on October 21st, 2022. Muse headlined the 2023 Rock Werchter festival, together with Arctic Monkeys and Stromae.

The Show
The stage setup was a mix between the regular one and the festival one, with the mirrors and the props (including Baph) from the regular setup but the different light rigs, flamethrowers, and smaller b-stage from the festival setup.
Map of the Problematique was played in the rotation slot after Psycho, despite the show being a festival, also making this the second gig of the European leg that Map of the Problematique was played on.
The gig had a some notable of technical issues. During We Are Fucking Fucked, the lights went out for a brief period, while Knights of Cydonia had to be restarted twice due to a technical "meltdown" (according to Dom). After the second restart failed, Matt apologised and the band left the stage after being told they had run out of time to finish the set due to the curfew. The band returned a few minutes later however after being given permission to play one last song. They decided to play Showbiz to finish the show, thus marking the first time Showbiz closed a show since 2006 and the first time Knights of Cydonia didn't close a show since La Cigale in 2018. This version of the song was very raw, with multiple errors from both Matt and Dom, showing that the song hadn't been rehearsed in a while.
Showbiz's unexpected appearance thus marks the first time in a Muse set that all 9 albums were represented.
