Information
Muse were set to headline the Calabash festival concerts in South Africa in February 2026, together with A Day To Remember, Nothing But Thieves and Simple Plan. The gig was announced by the festival on December 10th, 2025, together with the gig at the Cape Town edition of the festival.
The two South African gigs would mark Muse's return to South Africa after 18 years, when they performed in Johannesburg and Cape Town as part of the My Coke Festival in 2008.
On 13 January 2026, many ticket holders began receiving bank notifications indicating refunds for tickets they had purchased for the event. This followed observations made earlier in the week that ticket sales had been suspended, with remaining tickets marked as sold out. Yet no official statement had been issued by either Muse or Calabash regarding the band's participation or the status of the event, amid growing public speculation.
