Mentioned as one of the most iconic recording studios from California, 4th Street Recording Studios is a small boutique recording studio from Santa Monica, California, USA. Clients include Incubus, Corey Taylor (Slipknot), Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Alice Cooper, Rodrigo y Gabriela, The Beach Boys, Macy Gray, Kasabian, Shavo Odadjian (System of a Down), as well as actors like Kate Hudson, Jim Carey and many more.

The studio includes an assortment of vintage gear spaced throughout a live room and a control room. The inputs of the studio are routed through an API 3224 console, paired with vintage analog outboard gear and microphones, running via the Pro Tools Ultimate HD system with plug-ins. The instruments that the studio provides include a Yamaha C-7 grand piano and a DX7 synth, a Hammond organ with a leslie and a Rhodes Mark 1.

4th Street Recording is located in the same area of L.A. as Matt's own studio, Red Room.
