Chromes is the solo moniker used by Chris Wolstenholme to release his own material. The name is presumably a partial anagram of his name. The first two songs under this name, The Good Life and Imaginary World, were released on 9 August 2024, as a double A-side.

The following day, Chris shared a post on Instagram with the caption "The Black Lodge…" alonside a black-and-white picture saying the same thing, teasing possibly more music to be released.
