Information
The Good Life is the first song released by Chromes, Chris Wolstenholme's side project, alongside "Imaginary World", on 9 August 2024. The writing credits was given to someone named "Bill Board" with Chris's intent being a semi-anonymous release, quetly putting the two songs out on streaming platforms under that pseudonym.[1]
It is the first time since "Save Me" and "Liquid State" from The 2nd Law that Chris is singing lead vocals in studio. All instruments were produced and performed by Chris himself in his home studio, while piano was played by his wife, Caris.
The song's lyric video can be seen here.
Lyrics
Time has stood still again
A fall that will never end And I can't throw my regrets Away with the fears and the sweats
Take my hand, show me the way Tell me I'm worthless, then throw me away And I'll open my heart and hope and pray For your love, your love Then go back home
I wish I could tell how you feel Are these words for teasing or real? I'll live the good life again I'll do it without friends that hold me down
Take my hand, show me the way Tell me I'm worthless, then throw me away And I'll open my heart and hope and pray For your love, your love Then go back home
Take my hand, show me the way Tell me I'm worthless, then throw me away And I'll open my heart and hope and pray For your love, your love Then go back home
