Final gig of the Simulation Theory World Tour. First Muse show in Peru.

Information

Rumoured a couple of days before, the show was officially announced by Muse on the 6th May. Official Store pre-sale started Wednesday 8th May, and general on sale started Saturday 11 May.

Final show with Morgan Nicholls as a touring member, as he would be replaced by Dan Lancaster at all shows hereafter.

The Show

The stage set up was the same as with the previous few South American gigs, with the simplified lighting trusses.

During Pray, the central LED screen suffered from a technical malfunction so the visuals were turned off mid-way through. At the beginning of The Dark Side the visuals were switched back on, but were turned off again shortly afterwards after the fault remained. By the the start of the next song however (Supermassive Black Hole), the screen was fixed and the visuals functioned issue-free for the rest of the gig.

Matt wore a fanmade flag during Mercy, with Matt also picking up both a Peruvian flag and Bolivian flag.

After New Born, Matt's last throw of the guitar into the amp resulted in it flying headstock-first right into the hole and staying there, in a horizontal position, held upright by the grill cloth alone. Bellamy posted a pic of this on his Instagram with the caption "Saved the best shot until last". You can see the photo here. Also during the last part of Knights of Cydonia, to celebrate the end of the tour, the dancers went stage diving after releasing Hullabaloons.

Last performances of Algorithm (Regular and Alternate Reality Versions), Break It To Me, Propaganda, Pray, The Dark Side (Regular version), Unsustainable, Dig Down (Acoustic Gospel Version), Mercy, and the Metal Medley to date.
