Tabbed by GiveMeThePiss Tuning : Standard Note : For the live version which is on the bonuses of the album, here's what you play on the intro : e|--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| b|--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| g|--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| D|--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| A|-12~-----10h12p10h12p10h12p10h12p10h12p10h12p10h12p10h12~---10h12p10h12p10h12p10h13~->-12-10h12p10h12~---10h12p10h12b13r12-10h12p10h12~-----12~--10b11~-| E|--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| First of all, the intro. The bass starts playing the riff once, and then comes the guitar. There are two guitars for the intro. The one that plays the riff, and the one that plays over the synth. Let start with the synth. I advice you to use a Whammy pedal, and play with Harmony +/-1oct. effect to play this riff perfectly : e|---------------------------------------------| b|---------------------------------------------| g|-14-14~----12-------------17~----17-16-14-13-| x2 D|--------15----15-10-12-14-----14-------------| A|---------------------------------------------| E|---------------------------------------------| Now the riff. There are two ways to play it. Matt's version : e|------------------------------------------------------------| b|------------------------------------------------------------| g|------------------------------------------------------------| x2 D|------------------------------------------------------------| A|-12--12-12-11-10-9-8--8-8-7-6-5-3--3-3-4-5-6-7--7-7-9-10-11-| E|------------------------------------------------------------| My version : e|--------------------------------------------------------------------| b|--------------------------------------------------------------------| g|--------------------------------------------------------------------| x2 D|--------------------------------------------------------------------| A|-12--12-12-11-10-9-8--8-8-----------------------------------9-10-11-| E|--------------------------12-11-10-8--8-8-9-10-11-12--12-12---------| Verse 1. Just play this note, it's actually the end of the riff that we hear just when the verse starts : e|-----| b|-----| g|-----| D|-----| A|-12~-| E|-----| Chorus. Just play the riff like you did for the intro. For the second verse, do the same as the first. Now, the "You've been bitten by" part. If you have a Cort MBC-1 or a guitar that has the same system, you can use the kill & switch button to be closer to the original for this part. Or you can use a tremolo effect : e|-------------------------------------------------| b|-------------------------------------------------| g|-10---7------------------------------------------| x3 D|-10---7---7---10-10-10-10------------------------| A|-8----5---7---10-10-10-10------------------------| E|----------5---8--8--8--8-------------------------| e|-------------------------------------------------| b|-------------------------------------------------| g|-10---7------------------------------------------| D|-10---7---7--------------------------------------| A|-8----5---7---7----------------------------------| E|----------5---0----------------------------------| Chorus again. Then you've got the third verse. You can do like the two others, but if you want, you can do like Matt in concert. Play with the Whammy for this part : Harmony -1oct. for the first two notes, Harmony +1oct. for the two others : e|----------------------| b|----------------------| g|----------------------| D|----------------------| A|-12~---11~--12~---11~-| E|----------------------| Chorus AGAIN ahah ! Now the second "You've been bitten by" part, which is quite the same as the first. The only difference is that you've got to play some chords a few more times, and play with the bar of your Floyd Rose (if you have one on your guitar of course) : e|---------------------------------------------------------------| b|---------------------------------------------------------------| g|-10---7-------------------10--10-10---7--7-7-------------------| D|-10---7---7---10--10-10---10--10-10---7--7-7---7---10-10-10-10-| A|-8----5---7---10--10-10---8---8--8----5--5-5---7---10-10-10-10-| E|----------5---8---8--8-------------------------5---8--8--8--8--| e|----------------------------------------------------| b|----------------------------------------------------| g|---10--10-10---7---------------------10---7---------| D|---10--10-10---7---7---10-10-10-10---10---7---7-----| A|---8---8--8----5---7---10-10-10-10---8----5---7---7-| E|-------------------5---8--8--8--8-------------5---0-| Now the solo ! It's actually the same as the opening riff (the one that is over the synth), but this time, you use the Whammy +1oct. (not the Harmony one) effect on the Whammy pedal. So go back to the top of the page for the solo. To finish, you go back to the main riff for the chorus and the outro. You play it four times. Then, you finish on this note, and you slide to the top of the neck : e|-------| b|-------| g|-------| D|-------| A|-12~->-| E|-------| And you got it ! For the whole song (except a few parts), instead of doing it in Drop C like a lot do (which is a mistake actually), I recommand you to play it with the Harmony -1oct. on the Whammy pedal, it'll sound much better. Song structure : Intro (Riff) Verse 1 (1 note) Chorus (Riff) Verse 2 (1 note) Bridge 1 Chorus (Riff) Verse 3 (4 notes) Chorus Bridge 2 Solo (Synth intro) Chorus (Riff) Outro (Riff + 1 note) Signs : ~ : vibrato b : bend r : release bend h : hammer p : pulling -> : slide
