Talk:Cryptography
Someone should explain what this is al about instead of posting some list with cryptic words and their meaning. Who invented this whole cryptology thing etc etc..?
What?
read the subject line. Yep. That pretty much sums it up.
This Page Could Use Some Clearing Up.
I asked a question about this page waaaaay back on 10 September 2007 and after three months on MuseWiki, I still only have a vague idea on what this page is about. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could add a small description or something.

OK, so far, I have only a very vague idea of what this is all about:
Cryptography true or false | |
---|---|
Muse put anagrams on set lists for fans to decode... | ✓ or✗ ? |
...including passwords and subjects use to email Matt... | ✓ or✗ ? |
...and some anagrams (such as Codebreak Shy Outsider) to clear up other anagrams | ✓ or✗ ? |
When some anagrams were decoded and sent in emails... | ✓ or✗ ? |
...the response would be more cryptic messages to be decoded by fans using a M-Three Naval Enigma Simulator | ✓ or✗ ? |
I still have no idea what the end is supposed to be (cheap sex?) or why this whole game was constituted to begin with. SOMEONE PLEASE CLEAR ALL THIS UP!!! 7 23:16, 5 January 2008 (GMT)
Does ANYONE know ANYTHING about this? 7 01:44, 6 March 2008 (GMT)
All the above (in the table) is true IIRC. :) ۞ 12:43, 6 March 2008 (GMT)
- Yeah. Basically that's what happened. After sending the e-mails and decoding the anagrams, the fans got some coordinates and pics of a bike as a response. Some fans travelled where the coordinates pointed out and there was a bike, signed by Muse. The full story should be at muse.mu/muselive, so go there, it's more exciting than this crappy description. Good times indeed. And yeah this page needs to be cleared up, definitely. --Susurr0 13:24, 6 March 2008 (GMT)
