Steven Madaio was an American, California-based trumpet player. Madaio played with many prolific artists ever since the 1960s, when he was part of Paul Butterfield's band. He was touring with The Rolling Stones in the 1970s and was also a regular trumpet player for Stevie Wonder during that era, being credited on songs such as "Sir Duke" and, most notably, "Superstition". Madaio also played on recordings by Bob Dylan, John Lennon, B.B King, Gregg Allman, Joe Cocker and Rod Stewart, amongst others. Steven Mandaio died in 2019, aged 70.
Madaio was part of the brass band which contributed horns for The 2nd Law, on Panic Station.
