The return of Muse and the UK live debut of Gnarls Barkley were the highlights of the first day of Radio 1's Big Weekend in Dundee today (May 13).
Muse's seven-song set on the main stage at Camperdown Park was their first live show in two years. The band played three songs from forthcoming album 'Black Holes And Revelations', out on July 3. The new tracks were 'Knights of Cydonia', 'Starlight' and the first single, 'Supermassive Black Hole'.
Speaking to NME.COM afterwards, the band declared themselves delighted by the reaction of the crowd to the new songs. Frontman Matt Bellamy said: "The crowd seemed to get the new ones straightaway, even 'Knights Of Cydonia', which is a bit of a weird one!"
