Jackson is a USA-based guitar manufacturer, founded by Grover Jackson in 1980. Jackson guitars are known for their angular shapes and have been used by such musicians as Randall "Randy" Rhoads of Quiet Riot, Phil Demmel of Machine Head and of David "Dave" Mustaine of Megadeth. Jackson is now a subsidiary of Fender Musical Instruments Corporation.
Matthew Bellamy once used a Randy Rhoads guitar to perform Stockholm Syndrome and subsequently dropped it into the audience, a practice in which he occasionally partakes.
