Information

Announced on March 31st, 2025, Muse were set to perform at Istanbul's Yenikapi Festival Park on June 11th of the same year. This would've been the only solo headlining gig in 2025, not part of any festivals.

The gig's announcement came in after the planned 2016 gig in Istanbul was cancelled due to an unsuccessful coup attempt against the government, which happened a couple weeks prior.

Controversy & Cancellation

Due to the concert's organiser's (DBL Entertainment) chairman being a supporter of Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and denouncing on-going demonstrations against the Turkish government, many artists like Trevor Noah and Ane Brun began cancelling their concerts which were also being organised by DBL Entertainment.[5] Muse also began receiving pressure from fans to cancel the gig.[6]

Despite DBL Entertainment later stating that they had withdrawn from organising the event due to the backlash, Muse announced on April 2nd, 2024, that they would postpone the concert to 2026 in order to fully ensure that DBL Entertainment would not be involved.[7]
