Future looking bright for rock band Muse...
Being based in the South West is not as alienating as some pop groups might think - as Teignmouth-based rock band Muse can prove.
The band is currently attracting much media attention with its debut CD Helping You Back to Work Volume 1, on Lockjaw Records, and will be playing at the Plymouth Festival on August 15 alongside Bob Geldorf, Audiweb, Ruth and Cornish surf band Rootjonse.
They are appearing on Sunday at Plymouth Cooperage in a gig, supporting recent chart Show performers The Dandys.
A busy live schedule includes shows in bristol tonight, Falmouth next
Saturday and London the follow ing week.
At a recent gig at Torquay's New Railway Inn, the band discussed future recording projects with Dennis Smith, owner of Sawmills Studio in Cornwall, which has recorded albums for such success stories as Oasis, Supergrass, Cast and Kernickie.
Muse manager Philip Korthals said "The future looks bright - and the South West is playing a main role."
