Per this web blog The band played the Exeter Cavern on November 11, 1997. From the listing it appears that no other band played that evening, but that is an assumption.
The blog accurately reports the other listings that were already on the Musewiki, therefore it is assumed to be accurate with these other listings as well.
The Exeter Cavern confirmed a gig on Nov 8 1997, so it is possible that this source has his date confused with this Cavern Club gig.
When questioned, the Exeter Cavern stated that is was possible that Muse supported Marshall Peanut who headlined on Nov 11 1997. The response came via Twitter
