Dirty Pretty Things

Dirty Pretty Things were a London-based indie/garage rock band consisting of Carl Barat (guitar and vocals) and several other former members of The Libertines (Gary Powell on drums and Anthony Rossomando on guitar) with an addition of bassist Didz Hammond. The band was formed in 2005, heading straight in to the studio working on their first album, Waterloo to Anywhere, released in 2006. After touring in support of the debut album (and the eventual support for Muse), and performances of several new songs in 2007, the band started working on their second album, titled Romance at Short Notice, which was released in 2008.

On October 1st, 2008, the band announced that the band would split after a month-long tour, beginning on Oct. 3rd. Their last gig took place on December 20th, 2008 in Astoria 2 in London.

They supported Muse on the first night at Wembley Stadium. The general feeling was that they were poor and that the sound did not help.
