Information
Announced on the 19th of November 2012, Muse opened the 2013 stadium tour by performing within Ricoh Arena.[1] Pre-sale started at 09:30 on the 21st of November, [3] and general sale on the 23rd.[1][2]
Before the day of the show, Muse held a few days worth of production rehearsals at the stadium. During the rehearsals, when testing the fire cannons, it appeared as though the arena is on fire. This sparked an alarm on social media with people thinking the arena is on fire. The local fire service said that no emergency calls were made.[4] The official gallery from the rehearsals was uploaded on muse.mu and can be seen here.
Blackout was played for the first time in 6 years. Unintended was played for the first time in 3 years. This gig also marked the tour debut of Guiding Light.
The first time that Bellamy did not use a guitar to perform Starlight (see here), Blackout or Unintended. Instead, Christopher Wolstenholme played a Sunburst Fender Strat.
At 25 songs and 2 jams, this concert had the first longest set performed by Muse since 2007.
