Chicago United Center
Built between 1992 and 1994, the year of its opening, the United Center is an indoor sports arena situated on the Near West Side of Chicago, Illinois, and is named after its well-known corporate sponsor, United Airlines.
It is best known for being home to the Chicago Bulls basketball team, as well as the Chicago Blackhawks hockey team, both of whom own 50% of the venue under United Center Joint Venture, who also operate the venue. As such, the arena frequently hosts NBA and NHL matches. In 2020, it hosted the NBA All-Star game. The arena also hosted the NCAA basketball championship between 1998 and 2001, from 2003 to 2007 and from 2013 to 2015. Additionally, it was also the host site for a couple wrestling events, such as the WWE SummerSlam in 1994 (which was the first major event to be held in the United Center), the WCW Spring Stampede in 2000, and the WWE "Road to WrestleMania" show in 2018. The venue also hosted several AEW events, in 2021 and 2022.
The venue has the capacity for between 19,000 (hockey) and 20,000 (basketball) people. It also frequently hosts musical acts, with a concert capacity of 23,500. The first concert to be held at the United Center was that of Billy Joel's, with the arena paying hosts to artists such as Van Halen, U2, Iron Maiden, Prince, Adele and more.
