"Can't Take My Eyes Off You" was originally performed by Frankie Valli (The Four Seasons) in 1967, and made it to #2 on the US charts. Muse performed their version live on BBC Choice's "Re:Covered" and both Christopher Wolstenholme and Dominic Howard did backing vocals. It is one of the few songs Howard has performed backing vocals for, as during the recording of Blackout, it was determined that he cannot, in fact, sing in tune.
A very popular song throughout the world, it has been covered by a diverse range of artists, from Andy Williams and Engelbert Humperdinck to The Killers and Manic Street Preachers.
Live
The song was played for the first time since 2002 in January 2010 at a gig in Tokyo, and a second time at the Zepp Tokyo in August 2013.
On April 30th, 2020, the first official pro-shot of the song from the 2013 Zepp gig has been released.
