Announced by the band on 7 November 2018 that Muse would perform at the 1st ever IndyCar Classic at Circuit of The Americas (COTA) in Austin on Saturday night.

Tickets were available Wednesday 14 November. All holders of a 3-day ticket for the IndyCar Classic received general admission to the H-E-B Lawn and 200 level seating for the show. Optional Pit and 100 Level upgrades were also available to get you closer to the band for maximum hysteria.

The gig was part of the Simulation Theory world tour, however, with the gig taking place at the amphitheatre and thus the stage not being used, the production was shortened and adjusted to fit the setting of the show.

Because of the stage size, during Pray, Chris and Dom had to play regular toms instead of the big bass drums.

STT Interstitial 1 was used as an intro for the first time before Pressure.
