'''Zilker Metropolitan Park''' is a public recreation park in Austin, Texas. The park comprises of 350 acres of publicly owned land and is named after Andrew Jackson Zilker, its benefactor, who donated the land to the city in a series of sales in 1917, 1923 and 1931. The proceeds of the sale were donated to a trust dedicated to funding Austin's public shools. The land was developed into a park in 1930s after the Great Depression. A lake named Lady Bird Lake is also located in the park, as is the Barton Springs Pool and the Zilker Zephyr, a 305 mm gauge miniature railway, that carries passengers for a tour around the park. It also houses a disc golf course, volleyball courts, an amphitheatre named "Zilker Hillside Theater", a recreation center and the Zilker Nature & Science Center. The Zilker Botanical Garden is also located at the park.<ref name="wikipzilker">{{cite|title= Zilker Metropolitan Park|desc= Zilker Metropolitan Park on Wikipedia|date=|fetch=2015-01-01|pub=Wikipedia|url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zilker_Park|dom=wikipedia.org|type=ext}}</ref> The park hosts the Austin City Limits music festival.<ref name="wikipzilker"></ref>

The Zilker Park is comprised of open spaces and allows for a variety of events to take place at the premises of the park, the most notable of which is the Austin City Limits Music Festival, which takes place each fall and, since 2012, takes place for two weekends. Muse performed at the festival a total of five times, on four editions, since it's first edition in 2002.

That you're dying to tell me
I hope it's not about it in case you love me

Make sure no one finds out
Tell me all about it
Don't keep it to yourself
Because I can't bear the thought
I never needed your cry
I know you love me
It doesn't matter because I'm in control

I know that you're ashamed
So emotional that it kills you
Don't you know that you're ashamed?
So emotional that it kills you

There's always something that makes you guilty
There's still something that you're dying to tell me

Make sure no one finds out
Tell me all about it
Don't keep it to yourself
Because I can't bear the thought
I never leave you crying
I know you love me

Description

A very loud song with distorted guitars and vocals, quite similar to Agitated and Yes Please. The bass is very predominant in the track, with assorted guitar feedback and very intense drums, much like Hyper Music. The 1997 demo version of "Ashamed" is almost a minute longer and contains a slow bridge towards the end of the track, analogous to that of early live performances of "Assassin". This song heavily borrows from the song "Snakecharmer" by Rage Against the Machine. The outro riff also bears a slight resemblance to the outro riff from "Freedom" by Rage Against The Machine, a riff often covered during live performances.

Additional information

It is possibly about a girl whose partner thinks she is uncertain about the relation but is too ashamed to tell him.

The song uncommonly had some airplay on some Australian rock stations.[2]

Live

Rarely played live, though performed very often as an outro riff during the ending of "Showbiz" on the Showbiz and Origin of Symmetry tours. An example of this can be heard on the Hullabaloo CD and DVD. It was, however, played in full during a few Showbiz-era shows in May and June 2000. It has also been used beginning with the Black Holes and Revelations tour as an outro to "New Born".
