Editing the gig list

Why's it impossible to edit the 2006 gig list?

You need to go to http://musewiki.org/Template:2006_Gigs -Tene

New field

How about a new field for attire? As gigs come by whilst the Muse Wiki is founded, members will know more about & be more familiar with details of Muse' clothing at different gigs. This will lead to more detail & I should think create enough content to warrant a new header. Also, dress sense isn't something everyone wants to know about, which could make the info get in the way of finding out other, more relevant things about the gig. What does everyone think? Tene 10:01, 16 May 2006 (BST)

That sounds fun hehe, musewiki is all about the content, I'd have a section on what coloured underwear the band was wearing during a gig if i had the info :p
OK, this is old, but I've just seen it. So here's my opinion: that's a little stupid, irrelevant. I mean, if Dom wores his green trousers, or if he wears a Iron Maiden (for example) t-shirt, then yes; it's remarkable, But if he wears all black (for example), who cares? Just include a pic from the concert if anyone wants to see their clothes and that's all.--Susurr0 11:24, 22 October 2007 (BST)

Gigs box?

Anyone care to venture on what fields are required for this.

European summer festival tour postponed

According to German sources, Muse have postponed their summer festival tour. Their Rock am Ring and Pinkpop appearances are therefore cancelled :( --Shrinking Universe 14:51, 03 March 2006 (UTC)

One click edit

Whoever made the gigs into a one click edit, would you care to do so again? I can't remember how it was done :( --Tene 23:10, 20 July 2006 (BST)

Never mind, I figured it out. --Tene 23:21, 20 July 2006 (BST)

Supplemental set list info

I think we should set a standard as to how to list additional information. Instead of explaining I'll give some examples:

  1. Showbiz (instrumental)

or

  1. Showbiz instrumental

  1. Space Dementia (outro)

or

  1. Space Dementia (instrumental outro)

or

  1. Space Dementia outro

or

  1. Space Dementia instrumental outro

Also, where do we draw the line as to when we include it as supplemental information on the same line, or in the body text? --Tene 13:31, 15 September 2006 (BST)

Cancelled/never scheduled gigs

So that they won't be added again:

Date Venue Location Confirmed?
23 Jul 2006 Vieilles Charrues Festival Carhaix, France Unknown
07 Jun 2006 Aarhus (Support for Depeche Mode) Aarhus, Denmark Cancelled
05 Jun 2006 Pinkpop Festival Landgraaf, Netherlands Cancelled
02 Jun 2006 Rock Am Ring Festival Nürburgring, Germany Cancelled

Gigs with wrong dates/locations reported

Gig nav

Think thats worth doing?--crazybobbles 20:24, 8 November 2006 (GMT)

Perhaps. If you do it though, I suggest trying out adding the nav to the bottom of the gig box. --Tene 20:44, 8 November 2006 (GMT)
Sounds cool, I didnt do it for the album one because albums are just weird, and to make things more confusing, the table only has 2 columns, the nav has about 3, so it will be pretty confusing, might even have to skip the columns and everything --crazybobbles 22:01, 8 November 2006 (GMT)
Do you mean like the album navs you added some time ago? Then, yep. But I think that we should add all the dates first, I'm trying to do it (look in the 1999 ones), but it's tiring, and it take a long time if only one person do it. Then, if we finish that, we could do the gig nav, what do you think? --susurr0 21:47, 8 November 2006 (UTC+2)
Sounds fine, sorry i cant help out on that section haha --crazybobbles 22:01, 8 November 2006 (GMT)
Is this alright?

--Z 12:16, 5 November 2007 (GMT)
Looks alright. --Tene 12:30, 6 November 2007 (GMT)
I just try the Template:GigNav on London Wembley Stadium 2007 - 17th (gig). --Z 14:50, 6 November 2007 (GMT)

YouTube template

Sorely needed imo. A way of listing all the YouTube uploaders without cluttering the page up ... Perhaps broken into dynamic columns? --Tene 23:23, 14 November 2006 (GMT)

Uhm, not too keen on having too much youtube links for the gigs, I dunno, the videos can be removed by the user causing broken links and then any Tom Dick or Harry can upload a video of the band playing regardless of it being good or not. So yeah. Open for discussion though --crazybobbles 14:45, 15 November 2006 (GMT)

Venue linkage convention

Norma suggested, ahem, a new way of doing things venue listing wise - linking to Venue pages within the gig box rather than under the 'See also' header. I'm pretty nonchalant as to whether we change it or not. Any preferences? --Tene 19:20, 24 December 2006 (GMT)

Not really. I prefer under the See also header, but I don't really mind. --Susurr0 15:50, 28 December 2006 (UTC+1)

10th October 1999

Both Muse.mu and Microcuts.net say "Town and Country Club, Leeds, UK" was on 10th Oct 1999, but here MCM Café gig appears on that date. Was that the broadcast date? --Susurr0 15:50, 28 December 2006 (UTC+1)
