Crypto.com Arena (informally known as "The Crypt"; formerly Staples Center, stylized as STAPLES Center) is Los Angeles's largest indoor multi-purpose arena. The venue's name comes from a Singaporean crypto exchange of the same name, "Crypto.com". This is the first name change in the history of the arena, as it was named "Staples Center" ever since it's opening in 1999, before being acquired by the afforementioned acquisitor by the end of 2021. It can accomodate anywhere between 8,000 and 21,000 people, depending on the event. The arena is located next to the L.A. Convention Center. It is owned and operated by the Arturo L.A. Arena Company and Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG). The arena is home to the Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers basketball teams of the NBA, Los Angeles Kings hockey team of the NHL and the Los Angeles Sparks women's basketball team of the WNBA. The Los Angeles Avengers football team of the AFL and the Los Angeles D-Fenders of the NBA D-League also called the Crypto.com Arena their home until 2009, when the Avengers folded and 2011, when D-Fenders moved to Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo (also known as the Lakers' practice arena). With both Lakers and Clippers residing in the arena, it is the only one in the NBA shared by two teams.

Apart from hosting a variety of sporting events from NBA and NHL aswel as various wrestling events such as the WrestleMania 21, the arena is also famous for being the annual host of the Grammy Awards ceremony (exceptions being the 2003 and 2018 ceremonies). The venue also hosted the first annual Latin Grammy Awards in 2000 and the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards. Musical acts who performed inside The Crypt include The Killers, Guns n' Roses, U2, Adele, Tool, Elton John, Eric Clapton (who also recorded his live album One More Car, One More Rider while performing in the arena in 2001), Prince, Tina Turner, Oasis and more. Additionally, the arena hosted the 2000 Democratic National Convention. It is also set to host the basketball competition at the 2028 Summer Olympics.
