Muse and Elton John at the iHeartRadio

Sir Elton Hercules John born as Reginald Kenneth Dwight is an English singer-songwriter, composer, pianist and occasional actor. In his five-decade career John has sold more than 250 million albums, making him one of the best-selling music artists in the world.

It looks that our boys from Muse and Elton John are good friends and he's one of the biggest influences in the band. Back in the Q Awards in 2004 Elton gave his phone number to matt[1], he influenced matt to write songs like Soaked saying that it could be the Elton John-like song the band never released and Survival which was initially conceived in August 2011 when Matt was approached by a "top pianist," Sir Elton John, to create a collaborative song for the 2012 London Olympics.[2] This initial conception was unfruitful and the song was left unfinished and without lyrics.
