Matmut Atlantique

Matmut Atlantique, also known as Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux, is a football stadium, located in Bordeaux, France. Owned by the City of Bordeaux and operated by Stade Bordeaux-Atlantique, it began construction in 2012 and opened on May 18th, 2015. It was designed by the Swiss-based Herzog & de Meuron architecture firm. The stadium's capacity sits at 42,071. It is named after its main sponsor, The Matmut Group, a French insurance company.

Since its opening, the stadium has been the home stadium to FC Girondins de Bordeaux, who played the first match against Montpellier on 23 May 2015, a few days after the stadium opened. The same year, the stadium hosted the finals of the 2014/15 Top 14 rugby union season, aswel as a friendly match between the French and Serbian football teams. In 2016, it paid host to five matches of the UEFA European Football Championship, including one quarter-final. The 2018 Coupe de la Ligue Final was hosted at Matmut Atlantique. The stadium was amongst the six stadiums listed to host football during the 2024 Summer Olympics, set to take place in Paris.
