"Second Night Syndrome", as referred to by fans on the official Muse messageboard, is the concept where Muse play two consecutive nights in the same venue, play a standard set on the first night, while the second night recieves one or more rarer/old songs. This usually results in the second night being dubbed "the better night".

One of the most infamous examples of Second Night Syndrome is Wembley Stadium – 11-09-2010, which recieved MK ULTRA, Map Of The Problematique, Bliss, Citizen Erased and Ruled By Secrecy in its rotation slots, in contrast to the previous night, during which New Born, Neutron Star Collision, Butterflies And Hurricanes, I Belong To You and Soldier's Poem were played.
