Pedulla
As far as we know, Chris has been using Pedullas live from 1999 to 2005. He bought a Rapture Candy Blue RB4 J2 from Mansons for £1,300 in December 2000. Since then he has gone with the single pickup model as he preferred the sound. Most of his Pedullas are standard stock models. The black Pedulla that can be seen in the picture was once Candy Red, but he sprayed it Satin Black. Chris has a pattern sprayed on his bass and it is not paint that has fallen off. The pickups are Bartolini.
After using Pedullas for 5 years for live performances, when the Black Holes and Revelation Tour started, he swapped from Pedullas to Fender Jazz Basses. Currently, the only song that is played with a Pedulla Rapture RB4 is Micro Cuts, although he did used the Candy Red/Satin Black one at the Shepherds Bush gig for Stockholm Syndrome and Butterflies and Hurricanes. Also, it seems that he uses Pedullas for recording in-studio.
Chris' pedulla basses had usually black pickguard and some of them had a music-man style headstock.
