Chris' childhood

Chris was born on the 2nd of December 1978 in Rotherham (home of the Chuckle Brothers), Yorkshire but also moved to Devon (at 11). His mum would buy records regularly. He started by learning the guitar, and then the drums to finally play the bass when he met Dom and Matt.

Chris plays bass and provides backing vocals. When the band started playing Plug In Baby live, Chris wanted a new set of strings put on his bass each time they played it, to get just the right sound he wanted!

Chris is a fan of Status Quo. He's also a Rotherham United fan and can be seen in Millers colours very briefly on the Hullabaloo documentary.

Chris is married with kids. He once lost his wedding ring at a gig in Japan, but got it back, when a fan returned it (and received a lifetime supply of Muse gigs).
