Strangely enough, "original picture" complete with EXIF data can be found here (context). Picture itself was taken in 2003, the article using it was created in 2003 as well, and it was sites like flickr by 2005, way before the release of BHAR. Does anyone know if this photo is in public domain? It seems rather unlikely that Muse would use such random photo floating on the internet. --Muserwiki 23:25, 11 May 2008 (BST)
- It does? I can see them using a random picture off the internet. Remember Matt's Terror Storm shirt at Reading '06? They obviously use the internet, and it doesn't take a huge leap of imagination to see Matt reading about HAARP and finding that image. That context link redirects to the main page, by the way. -frozenjakalope 01:15, 12 May 2008 (BST)
- Hmm, I think using something in a shirt is quite different from having it in a published work that will be for profit, in countless homes, etc. There would be quite a lot of copyright problems if Muse were to use unlicensed work in their work (e.g. oppositely, Nescafe using "Feeling Good" for their commercials, etc). I guess it's alright to assume Muse would have taken such steps, but I was just wondering if anyone may have knew. (context link works for me, by the way. Try copy and pasting this link instead:
