James E. Gray and Eduardo Lemos.

Dear Sherlock is an alternative-rock (later prog-rock) band made up of the English multi-instrumentalist James E. Gray and the Portuguese guitarist and vocalist Eduardo Lemos. It was founded in 2012, however, the band was known as [Reckless] since 2004 to 2012.

This band is well known by part of the Muse fanbase, due to a fake leak of the Resistance album, back in 2009, filled with songs from Reckless. Since then, the band was always compared to Muse for it's sound (Lemos' vocals are very related to Bellamy's), and some songs includes heavy references to Muse songs. There were even accusation of plagiarism by some part of the fandom back in the days, but with the years the tension was pulled down due to the band talking about that fake leaks were made by other people, not by them. [1]

As Dear Sherlock, they released their first EP in 2012 and they start touring for the first time around Portugal, Spain and England. Nowadays, Dear Sherlock eventually published some singles from 2014 to 2017 and an EP in 2019, to comeback again with some singles in 2020 and 2022. It was in their latest single, Tracatu, when their performance in Rock In Rio Lisboa was announced, first public concert of the band since 2013. Today they still have a decent influence by Muse, but their style evolve to a more prog-rock and own style.

As said, Dear Sherlock supported Muse in the Rock in Rio Lisbon 2022 festival.
