Analysis and Explanation

Houston Jam is a unique drum and bass jam which made its debut at the first gig of the Simulation Theory World Tour in Houston in 2019, hence its name. The jam is essentially the main riffs to 3 songs (Futurism, Unnatural Selection and Micro Cuts) played as a medley, similar to the Metal medley but much shorter and with no vocals. It's played late into the set as an intro to Take a Bow so Matt can get prepared for the song.

The effects that Chris uses on this jam are very similar, if not the same as Mike Kerr's from Royal Blood, meaning it sounds like bass and guitar playing together. That way, he can play the riffs in the jam as if all three were playing it. The Jam was played at virtually every gig during 2019 though it's unclear if it will return in the future.
