Description
The song's title has been "officially" leaked on March 14th, 2022 via the JSON output from wontstanddown.muse.mu, which contains basic album info. The song was leaked together with the rest of the album on August 23rd, 2022.
In Warner's album recap, Euphoria is described as a "lighting bolt rush" of a song.[3] On Aleks Von Korff's Instagram story, when describing songs through emojis, he used the "devil horns" emoji for this song, hinting that Euphoria'd be a rock-oriented track.[4] As described by Riff Magazine, "“Euphoria” grows from a dance-rock tune into a fist-pumping classic rock chorus".[5] Gigwise compared Euphoria to songs like Bliss, Knights of Cydonia and Time Is Running Out. [6] Fans also compared the song to Revolt and Get Up and Fight. The synths are reminiscent of “I Feel Love” by Donna Summer, released back in the 70s. Euphoria is the track that combines the Black Holes and Revelation eccentric styles with harder sounds which came from Absolution era.
Instrumentation
Running at 158BPM, Euphoria is a fast-paced song, which features arpeggiated synth lines during the verses, with a fast four-on-the-floor drum beat. It also includes a Knights of Cydonia & Blockades-inspired guitar sound. The pre-choruses follow a very similar note progression as the pre-choruses in Time Is Running Out. The song ditches the electronics during the choruses, which feature just guitar, bass and drums, and have a pop punk tinge to them, akin to songs like Revolt and Get Up and Fight, but also similar to songs like Time Is Running Out.
The song itself is also similar in structure and pace to Crying Shame, with dancey verses and pop-punky choruses.
