Background

This guitar is exactly the same as the batch of Manson Matt Black 2.0 (batch) guitars, except it features a Sustainiac Humbucker instead of a single coil Sustainiac and a covered pickup instead of a uncovered one. The neck features the old Manson logo, as does the covered Psychopaf PF-1 Humbucker pickup.

Except for the colours, it is exactly the same guitar as the Manson Matt Black Stealth 2.0.

Touring

This guitar first appeared at the Latin America leg of the Simulation Theory World Tour 2019, where it was used for songs in Drop D tuning and often thrown around a bit after the Metal Medley.

It made one appeareance during Will of the People Summer Festivals Tour at Rock In Rio for Stockholm Syndrome where Matt threw it in the air and broke it´s head off. It was replaced by the Manson Matt Black 2.0 #7 for the next performances of the song during the summer.

The Matt Black 3.0 #1 was used again during the first show of Will of the People Theatre Tour in Los Angeles, but this time for songs that are played in standard tuning, as Minimum, Space Dementia, Time Is Running Out and Will of the People. It was damaged to an unknown extent after being thrown in the air during Space Dementia's outro (watch).

Background

This guitar is exactly the same as the Matt Black 3.0 #1 and #3 except that this guitar has a double neck pickup slot but is equipped with a single coil sustainiac which is different from other guitars. It may be the #1 after being repaired.

Touring

The Matt Black 3.0 #2 first appeared in Sacramento during the Will of the People Festivals Tour. It is used in replacement of the #1 in the US rig.

Matt threw this guitar against an amp and in the air after Stockholm Syndrome in Toronto in March 2023 (watch), damaging the guitar, thus forcing him to use the Manson Red Alert in replacement for We Are Fucking Fucked later during the show. The guitar was back for the next show 2 days later though, with visible damage on the headstock and was used until the end of the North American leg of the Will of the People World Tour. It was used once more in november in Mexico without having been repaired and was thrown in the air and in Dom's drumkit.
