In an interview in 2019, Matt's guitar tech Chris Whitemyer mentioned Matt wanted to play synth on the new tour. When at the 2019 winter NAMM show, he approached the MIND Music Lab booth, organising the first meeting with MIND, Fishman and Arturia right at the show floor. In less then a month, they designed and engineered a custom built Prophet V guitar, presumably based around the Matt Black Stealth.[1]
Bellamy first got the guitar one week before the show and he tested it by leaving it on for the whole week, continuously turning it on and off, jumping up and down with it and bouncing it off a matress. Withstanding the Bellamy test, he first used it at the first show of the tour. According to his tech, it ran flawlessly.
