Foo Fighters is an American rock band formed by Dave Grohl in 1995 after the breakup of his previous band, Nirvana. Other members of the group include former Nirvana touring guitarist Pat Smear, bassist Nate Mendel (formerly of Sunny Day Real Estate), lead guitarist Chris Shiflett, keyboardist Rami Jaffee (formerly of The Wallflowers), and drummer Taylor Hawkins. Hawkins died in 2022.
Muse supported Foo Fighters in Showbiz and Origin of Symmetry era, in 2000 and 2002 respectively.
