Description
In an NME article 'Explorers' was described as an "elegant choral pop vision of dying crops and abused nature"
Information
By error of Bellamy, Howard, Wolstenholme or Kirk, the name of the song was leaked by a photo on Twitter, until it was deleted.
According to the above mentioned NME article the song is about Matt's concerns about "industrial greed and business monopolies", a song that talks about the "sense of not feeling you belong to your own planet". Matt said that the point of view of the song is in the way of "feeling like an alien on your own planet. It's about the intense desire to grow and expand."
