Description
A song originally by grunge band Nirvana, from their album In Utero. Muse played "tourette's" during their first two concerts, a Battle of the Bands competition in February 1994 and a roller disco a month later[1][uncertain].
The song consists of a basic, power chord-based, guitar riff with near-incoherent lyrics, that differ every time the song is played.
Lyrics
The In Utero inner sleeve identified the lyrics as:
Cufk, Tish, Sips
This representation in the inner sleeve is mainly due to the fact that the song had no permanent lyrics and thus was different every time it was played live.
tourette's is a prime example of the "Music comes first, lyrics come second," mindset that Kurt Cobain had when he was writing songs.
Despite the song having no permanent lyrics as such, Nirvana fans have been able to decipher the lyrics for the studio version of the track; they are as follows:
