Talk:Exeter Cavern Club 1997-03 (gig)
Source text
It was a full 19 months after Smith first saw the band, at a gig at Exeter Cavern in March 1997, that Smith felt he was certain he'd discovered one of the decade's greatest young UK rock bands and was ready to become more involved. He offered Muse the same agreement that he'd offered Supergrass some years earlier: he'd allow them to use the recording studio at Sawmills when it wasn't in use by other bands to put together some demos, on the proviso that if they were to get signed on the back of the recordings, they'd pay Smith back for the studio time.
Transcribed directly from TSOM book. This date makes much more sense than a 95 cavern gig, as the Sawmills Session demo tape was issued later in 97, and the EP a year later. (sorry for the page naming mistake btw, thanks for correcting) --MuseTom 20:29, 2 February 2009 (GMT)

Can we have a transcription for the source please? It contradicts Safta Jaffery whose recollections indicate the (false) information written here: Exeter Cavern Club 1995-10 (gig). --Tene 15:14, 1 February 2009 (GMT)
