Information

There are cuts between every song in the footage, meaning that there were likely more songs that were performed that were cut from the broadcast. Based on this, it is likely that the known setlist is incomplete. This may not be the case, however, as an eyewitness claimed that the band played "very little".[4]

In an interview with Viva Zwei's 2 Rock at Haldern Festival in Germany the following year, Matt cited this gig as one of the best the band had ever done.[5] Matt claimed they were really nervous as it was "the biggest gig they ever did" with a crowd of 60,000 in attendance, "but it went really well".

The Show

Muse played in front of a very lively crowd, with practically the whole front section moshing regularly throughout the show.

Cave was plagued with technical issue with Matt's guitar cutting out on several occasions.

At the end of the show, during the Ashamed outro after Showbiz, Chris picked Matt up, holding his legs over his shoulders and proceeded to sprint around the stage with Matt clinging on, much to the crowds amusement. Chris & Matt then crashed into Dom and destroyed the drum kit. Just before leaving the stage, Matt picked his guitar up, swung it around and then launched it into the air, almost hitting a camera man as it came crashing down.

There is also a higher quality recording of Cave that was broadcast by Rock TV, an Italian Music Channel. The video can be viewed here.
