Background
The EVH Wolfgang Matt used is a stock one, with an additional Roland GK2a Midi Pickup System installed. The guitar has 22 frets with a scale length of 25 1/2". Like most of his guitars used in that era, it has tape around the edge of the body.
It was featured in the Muscle Museum music video.
This guitar was destroyed in 2000 and thrown into the crowd where a photographer got it. In 2003 it was sold on eBay and subsequently repaired.[1]. The person who repaired it later sold it on eBay on the 26th December 2007.[1][2] The Guitar Sold for £5,326.02 on eBay, on the 28th January 2008.[2] However, the buyer received a higher offer and was sold to a collector in the UK outside of eBay.
The guitar went on sale again by an unknown Swiss Muse fan on May 11th, 2017 for £13,500.00 on eBay.[3] It was on eBay until 2018. It is unknown whether or not the guitar was sold, or the listing was removed.
Matt supposedly had two of these guitars; one partially covered in grey tape (the one that was thrown into the crowd) and one completely covered in black tape.
Touring
Bellamy used this guitar during the 1999 and 2000 Showbiz tours.
