About

"The Sheep Guitar" is a special one-off MB-1 guitar collection, which was hand-painted by Matthew Bellamy, and features a hilly landscape with sheep. The guitar includes Matt's signature and a message on the back, which says "By Matt Bellamy. Musician, Painter, Shepherd 08/14".

This guitar was created for an auction for the War Child benefit. Other artists who were involved in the War Child project were Iggy Pop, Michael Stipe of R.E.M and former Cure guitarist Pearl Thompson, amongst others[1]. The guitar was sold for £10,272.

It is likely that this guitar started out as a Manson built prototype for the Cort/Manson Matthew Bellamy Signature Guitar.
