Intro to Psycho. Muse also posted a tease to this intro on their Instagram (watch)

Matt and Dom wanted to sample a speech from Stanley Kubrick’s Full Metal Jacket, but they didn’t got permission, so they did they own version and was recorded by actors.[1]

Live

Drill Sergeant was performed solely as the intro to Psycho, just as it did on the album. The band played no instruments during this song and it was merely played by a tape. It was not used at all gigs, however, and has rarely been used since the beginning of the North American leg of the Drones World Tour, only played now when the drones aren't working by a technical error or if Reapers starts the show. The crowd loves to chant "aye sir" during this brief snippet of an intro, but apart from this, there is no point in viewing the majority of the performances of Drill Sergeant as, if you've seen one, you've technically seen them all.

Lyrics

Drill Sergeant: If you do not do, what you are told to do, when you're told to do it, you will be punished, do you understand?

Recruit: AYE SIR!

Drill Sergeant: If you leave my base without proper authorisation I will hunt you down and throw your ass in jail, do you understand? Recruit AYE SIR!

Drill Sergeant: I can't hear you! Recruit: AYE SIR!

Drill Sergeant: Scream it! Recruit: AYE SIR!

Drill Sergeant: Your ass belongs to me now Recruit: AYE SIR!
