Confirmed on the 2nd of March,[1] this concert was one of three which purportedly were announced by a Russian newspaper in January.[5] Online ticket sale started on the 4th of March at 10:00, while physical sale started on the 7th.[1][2] A subsequent pre-sale took place from 9:00 on the 9th of May and a further public sale started the following day.[10]

During Knights of Cydonia Matthew Bellamy wore a traditional Ukrainian shirt-costume "вышиванка" [vyshivanka], given to him by fans before the gig.[source?] During the Gig Matthew Bellamy threw the Manson Red Glitter 2.0 which was believed to have resulted in heavily damaging the guitar.[source?]
