Muse shall be supporting Rage Against the Machine along with Rise Against in July.[6][7][3] The event was announced on the 17th of April via the Coachella Facebook profile[6] and named implicitly by music-business marketer Wayne Kamemoto, in a comment in said Facebook thread on the 21st.[5] The Rage Against the Machine website confirmed the event on the 18th.[7] Negotiation for leasing the venue was still taking place on the 28th of April.[1] A full announcement was made on the 9th of May,[2][8] showing claims of Snoop Dogg being on the line-up as false,[1][2] while adding Immortal Technique and El Gran Silencio.[2] Confirmation was posted on the 10th.[4]
While the line-up order is unknown, the the Muse website worded its announcement as "playing alongside [...] Rage Against the Machine" [emphasis added].[4] The poster design which accompanied KROQ's announcement puts Rage Against the Machine and Muse adjacently and in similarly sized lettering.[9] Both the wording of the announcement and the poster's layout suggest co-headline performances on separate stages.
A pre-sale shall take place from 10:00 to 22:00 on the 12th of May to KROQ Streat Team members only, while general sale shall start the following day at 10:00 through Ticketmaster.[2][3]
